Characteristic of the Kingdom – What does this look like for your organization?
In his book After Doubt, Theologian AJ Swoboda writes, “…not once in the New Testament are we invited to ‘build’ God’s kingdom. We can’t build God’s kingdom. Only God can build this kingdom. We enter God’s kingdom.” (pg. 156)
This thought-provoking statement forces us to take inventory. To ensure we have a posture that joins God’s kingdom-building purposes with a posture of humility, service, and surrender. To start with His agenda and not ours.
Your business can be an agent of God’s restorative work. With intentionality, it can enter into God’s kingdom-building work, having a profound impact on the flourishing of your people, the building of robust communities, and the ability to sustain economic regeneration.
Are you ready to truly enter into God’s Kingdom?
It starts with identifying the “why” before you ever ask the questions, “Where are we going?” and “How will we get there?” To see your very business as sacred ground where God wants to display his Kingdom characteristics of love, joy, peace, goodness, beauty, humility, purpose, honor, and holistic flourishing.
What would it look like for your business to start with the “why?” To see itself as an extension of God’s Kingdom. To design your purposes, systems, and culture that reflect the Great Designer. |
